YMCA of Topeka Announces Exciting Spring Program Lineup

2024 Spring Program Guide coverTOPEKA, KS – The YMCA of Topeka is thrilled to unveil its lineup of engaging and impactful spring programs. These programs aim to empower individuals, foster community connections, and create positive change.

Upcoming Spring Program Highlights:

  1. Paint and Sip Event: March 7th, grab your friends and come on out to the Y to join us for our first paint and sip event complete with step-by-step painting for all and included mocktails. This event is open to everyone and is $20 for YMCA members and non-members, registration is required.
  2. Youth Advocacy and Leadership 101: Youth aged 14 to 18 earn free day passes throughout the program and can earn a free membership upon completion of an 8-week program focused on leadership developing and team building. This program is open to everyone and is free, registration is required.
  3. Drills and Skills Basketball Clinic: On March 24, participants will review basic skills and work on more advanced drills and finish up the session with a short game. This program is open to everyone and is $20 for YMCA members or $30 for non-members.
  4. Youth Intro to Weightlifting: Starting March 2nd youths aged 8 to 16 can participate in a program to learn why weightlifting and conditioning are vital
    for overall health and well-being. This 4-week, one-hour class caters to young beginners, emphasizing weight-bearing exercises, cardiovascular workouts,
    proper form, and coordination. This program is open to everyone and is $40 for YMCA members or $60 for non-members.
  5. Youth Intro to Dance: Wednesdays from March 2 thru 27, three to six year-olds can begin to develop rhythm, coordination and basic ballet and tap moves while also building self-confidence and important social skills. This program is open to everyone and is $20 for YMCA members or $30 for non-members.
